More than accommodation. A community.

The Comrades 100 Race Village is a shared base camp for race week. Not a hotel. Not a B&B. A community experience — somewhere in the hills between Pietermaritzburg and Durban, close enough to both start and finish that the logistics work, far enough from the city to feel like an adventure.

The Race Village is home to the 100 international ambassadors representing their countries. But we're opening it up to 200 South African runners who want to be part of something bigger than just another race weekend.

Think of it as a festival meets a training camp meets the greatest braai of your life — with runners from every corner of the planet sitting next to you.

What's included

Everything you need for race week, nothing you don't. You just show up with your kit and your Comrades entry.

Accommodation

Premium glamping or shared lodge accommodation for 3 nights (Thursday to Sunday). Not a tent from Makro — proper beds, proper comfort.

Meals

All meals from Thursday dinner through Sunday brunch. Carb-loading dinner Friday. Post-race braai Saturday night. Proper food, not conference catering.

Transport

Shuttle to the start line Saturday morning (very early). Shuttle from the finish line when you're done. No parking stress. No designated driver needed.

Race Briefing

Proper race briefing with experienced Comrades runners. Route intel, pacing advice, the stuff that actually helps — especially for first-timers.

Social Events

Welcome dinner Thursday. International meet-and-greet. Carb party Friday. Post-race celebration Saturday. You'll leave with friends from 100 countries.

The Vibe

Live podcast feed on race day. A big screen showing the race. 100 flags. 100 stories. The thing that makes the 100th Comrades feel like the 100th Comrades.

Your race week

Thursday — Arrive

Check in to the Race Village. Settle in. Meet runners from around the world. Welcome dinner under the stars.

Friday — Prepare

Race briefing. Shake-out jog (or don't — we respect the taper). Carb-loading dinner. Pin your number on. Try to sleep.

Saturday — Race Day

3am wake-up. Shuttle to the start. Shongweni. Run 90km. Cry at Polly Shortts. Cross the finish line. Shuttle back. The greatest braai of your life. You earned it.

Sunday — Recover

Late brunch. War stories. Swap club jerseys. Say goodbye to people you'll remember forever. Check out.

Limited to 200 people.

This is deliberately small. We want the Race Village to feel intimate, not like a mass event. 100 international ambassadors plus 200 South African runners — 300 people total. That's it.

Final pricing will be confirmed once we've secured the venue and sponsors. It could come down. It won't go up by much. We're building this to be accessible, not exclusive.

Important — please read this

This is a registration of interest, not a booking. We are not taking any money yet. No payment will be requested until the Race Village location is confirmed and the initiative has enough sponsorship to be viable.

By registering interest, you're telling us you'd like a spot. When we're ready to sell tickets, you'll be first in line. No obligation, no commitment, no cost right now.

Your Comrades entry is your own responsibility. You need to enter and qualify for the Comrades Marathon independently — we don't provide race entries.

Full terms at /terms.

Register Your Interest

No payment. No commitment. Just tell us you're keen.

Registering for a group? We'll contact you to confirm names closer to the time.

You're on the list.

We'll be in touch when the Race Village is confirmed. You'll get first access to tickets before they go public.

In the meantime — tell your running mates. 200 spots won't last.
